ooVoo: Free Video Conferencing

| November 7, 2007 | 3 Comments

A new company called ooVoo is offering a free way to video conference with your friends with your computer’s video camera. Mac users have had a capability like this for a while but ooVoo works with both Mac and Windows machines.

I am going to be test driving it and will report back on what it’s like. Your comments are always welcome.

  1. Well, I want to know. I am going to check to see if you ended up doing a follow up this blog post — I don’t know if you have been able to try the Mac version — heck, I don’t even know if you have tried it at all (which is why I am going to check) but if you or your readers want to try out the Mac version, you should download it and try it out. Oh, by the way, I am here on behalf of ooVoo, so that link should work! Pop me an email and let me know… now, off to check to see if you have already written a follow-up! :)

  3. About six months I witness the wonder of videoconferencing when I was asked to deliver my lecture from my university to a high school via video conferencing. First I was thinking it was just a camera recording my lecture and will make the necessary editing to show the high school students but later I realized that I was interacting with the students live. Great technology
