Cuban Seeks to Define Transparency

What would the typical corporate leader do if sued by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for alleged insider stock trading? Most would duck and hide. If ambushed by a reporter, they’d firmly say, “No comment,” and other dumb things.

Mark Cuban is not the typical corporate leader, and that’s one reason he is so admired and successful. Today, the SEC sued Cuban for alleged insider trading in 2004, and what did Cuban do? He blogged about it on his CEO blog, BlogMaverick.com.

I would award today’s opening salvo point to Cuban, making it Cuban 1, SEC 0.
