For DC, a Massive Snow Storm

| December 19, 2009 | 4 Comments

By snowfall standards for Washington, DC, it’s been a fairly intense winter storm that began late last night in this area. I would estimate 12-inches-plus of snow on the ground now where I live with more snow falling.

Just about everything is stopped or closed, including public transportation and airline flights. Local officials are asking people to stay off sidewalks because of the risk of careening vehicles.

It is very quiet.

Thanks to our daughter Anna for most of these photos …

Hey, David, glad I’m back from Ohio . . . back to the west coast. The “dreariness” outside isn’t looking so bad.

I guess the weather’s good for getting lots of computer-stuff done.
    :-)
