Shorewood versus Shorecrest
Two competing high schools in the Seattle area – Shorewood and Shorecrest – have been dueling in the area of creative videos. Both schools have outstanding video production classes. Their respective videos are now on YouTube … and below … for you to judge who is the most talented.
What makes this rivalry more special is the video teachers for each school. Shorecrest’s Trent Mitchell and Shorewood’s Marty Ballew are childhood friends.
Which do I believe is most creative and imaginative? Shorewood’s Lip Dub, without a doubt. Very, very clever!
Here is Shorewood’s video, called “Shorewood Lip Dub:”
Here’s Shorecrest’s video, called “Hey Ya:”

Very entertaining videos, and, of course, that’s the key to Going Viral AND the key to successful ad strategies for the Now and at least Near Future.
Re: the content directly — Recently I had to stand in a few lines while waiting for a flu shot in an “emergency preparedness drill.” I can’t help but think how much more fun that Two Hours would have been if they’d played music and supplied us with placards and graffiti.

You should be clear with readers that Shorewood’s video was IN RESPONSE to Shorecrest’s video. Shorewood’s is cooler because it’s backward, but they wouldn’t have had the idea had Shorecrest not done their’s first. This journalism is misleading, wouldn’t you say?
Good grief! Lighten up and just enjoy the videos.
