I read Will's piece and you are correct, it was excellent. Today, we live in a time when fear, distrust and anger are rampant. We are afraid to call terrorism terrorism, and yet we are also afraid of every day activities, like taking photographs of public buildings that represent our nations history, or buildings that have unique architectural lines or simply are just plain interesting. We are concerned when ordinary folks or the press take photos, which might be perceived as scouting potential targets, but at the same time refuse to call terrorists that actually commit terror acts terrorists. We do live in interesting times, and as the old Buffalo Springfield song said, "Paranoia strikes deep. Into your life it will creep. It starts when you're always afraid..."
Thanks for raising an issue that should concern us all.
